This 16,500 ton glacial erratic near Okotoks, Alberta fell in a landslide onto a glacier 12,000 to 17,000 years ago. It was then transported during the ice age 350 km to the south to where it rests now.
The Blackfoot called it o’kotok, meaning rock & it was a gathering spot.
