@kbeninato Not mentioned in the article but seems implicit to me: not only can Congressional spending be switched off at whim, but the “debt ceiling” effectively no longer exists. The payment system can continue making transfers to suppliers, and what supplier would dare be first to refuse payment on the basis the payment was not authorised spending?
