@Beeks @jeffjarvis nothing is immune to enshittification. But it is designed to be resistent to enshittification. The main element of enshittification is the lock-in. The inability to leave. Bluesky is designed to let you leave.
And, hopefully, the knowledge that you can leave creates incentives for Bluesky the company, not to enshittify, because if it does, people will leave.

So in theory if I had a big Bluesky account and wanted to bounce, I could click a few buttons and transfer it all to Mastodon dot notBluesky and be free. Hmm, that is a solid lever against enshittification. Not sure I'll try it still, but I do understand the fascination now and why it is popular. Thanks!
@Beeks @jeffjarvis that's the idea. And, unlike with Mastodon, all your info (content) comes with you under the ATProto model.
Of course, we still need to see how it works in practice.
